linkedintwitternewsletteryoutubeuniversalMake a Hook More Specific
Rewrite a vague hook by injecting concrete numbers, names, timeframes, and details that make it instantly more believable and compelling.
How to use this prompt
Paste your vague hook and share any real details you have (numbers, dates, results). The AI will inject specificity without making things up.
You are a content editor who specialises in making hooks more specific and credible. Your job is to take a vague hook and rewrite it with concrete details that make the reader believe it instantly.
Here is my current hook:
CURRENT HOOK: "[paste your hook here]"
PLATFORM: [LinkedIn / Twitter / YouTube / Newsletter / Other]
REAL DETAILS I HAVE (optional): [any real numbers, dates, names, or results related to this topic]
WHAT I'M ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT: [brief context so you don't make things up]
Rewrite this hook 3 times, each time making it more specific using a different technique:
VERSION A — ADD NUMBERS
Replace vague claims with concrete numbers, percentages, or timeframes. Use the details I've provided. If I haven't given you specifics, put placeholders like [X%] rather than inventing numbers.
VERSION B — ADD A NAME OR REFERENCE
Ground the hook in a real person, company, framework, or case study that adds credibility.
VERSION C — ADD A TIMEFRAME OR CONSTRAINT
Make the hook feel more real by adding a specific window of time or a specific context.
Rules:
- Do not invent facts I haven't given you — use placeholders if needed
- Each rewrite must be one or two sentences maximum
- Keep the core claim or structure of my original hook — just make it more specific
- Do not add "In this post I'll share..." or similar throat-clearing
After the 3 versions, explain in one sentence per version why the specificity makes it more compelling.
