AUDIENCE: [who reads this newsletter — their job, interests, or pain points]
NEWSLETTER TONE: [e.g. professional, conversational, punchy, educational]
Write 2 subject lines for each of these 5 styles:
1. CURIOSITY — create an open loop the reader needs to close to feel satisfied
2. SPECIFIC BENEFIT — lead with the concrete result the reader gets from opening
3. CONTRARIAN — challenge something the reader currently believes
4. PERSONAL / STORY — hint at a personal experience or confession
5. URGENCY / SCARCITY — make the reader feel they'll miss something if they don't open now
Rules:
- Keep every subject line under 50 characters where possible
- No clickbait — the subject line must honestly represent the content
- No all-caps, excessive exclamation marks, or spammy words
- Each subject line should be able to stand alone — no need for preview text to make sense
- Do not use the word "Newsletter" in any subject line
After the 10 subject lines, recommend your top 3 and explain why in one sentence each.
